out of 5The main reason for the stay was a family wedding. The initial impression of the hotel was good but needs refurbishment in some areas. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. Ideal for train travel being across from the station .

out of 5i stayed at the station hotel opposite aberdeen train station so it was very convenient for getting around. the room and restaurant were good. a city bus tour was available to show aberdeen's attractions. new developments under construction next to the station and near the seafront will add to the city's appeal. The basic cost of the holiday (3 nights b&b and railfare from redhill) was £247 not bad in these credit crunch times. i added on a day trip to inverness and dingwall in the highlands by train.as a lover of trains i found it enjoyable to return home by a different route. my outward jouney was via national express east coast route via newcastle and edinburgh. my return (same route to dundee) was via perth, glasgow carlisle and preston via virgin west coast route.Single travellers are heavily penalised with single supplements on most Superbreak holidays. This is my main criticism.This made the break as expensive as a continental holiday.
