Salisbury Cathedral, Salisbury
Salisbury Plain, rich in Neolithic archaeology and an area of outstanding beauty, is a chalk plateau in central southern England. It is home to the world famous Stonehenge and many stone monuments. To the south the magnificent Salisbury Cathedral has the tallest spire in the UK and to the west are the surviving watermills of Andover.

out of 5Although showing signs of wear and tear, we found the rose and crown an enjoyable place to in which to stay. With in easy reach of the centre of salisbury but quiet and with good parking facilities.

out of 5We were pleasantly surprised at our beautiful room when we got to the hotel, it was lovely and cosy, clean and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We primarily went to salisbury to visit the cathedral for a service. Staying at the legacy rose and crown was ideal just a very short walking distance away. An excellent stay.

out of 5The hotel was a short walk on side roads to the cathedral and the centre of town. It has a large car park. But its out in the countryside, our room looked accross the rose garden to the river, fields with sheep grazing and the cathedral in the background. We even spotted a kingfisher while having breakfast.
