out of 5A great few days, the area is fantastic very interesting loads to do some of the attractions were not open too early in the season. Will probably go back a different time of year. Hotel ok, staff nice and although it has evidently just been refurbished no one seems to have checked details, extractor fan very noisy so it was just disconnected, heaters not set so either v hot or cold, no hangers in wardrobe, no hairdryer etc small things but not what you expect.

out of 5A great hotel, with welcoming, friendly and efficient staff. Excellent location near to a range of ameneties yet surrounded by woodland and overlooking a lake. The room was comfortable, well appointed and spacious, with a good view of the lake. The restaurant service and quality of meals were both excellent, both on the very quiet first night of our stay and the busier second night. We would definitely re-visit if we were back in the area.

out of 5Good centre for exploring Engish Heritgae sights which are open year round. Hotel in nice grounds but our room was small -only 1 chair and light above bed didn't work and was not replaced. Food good.

out of 5Great hotel in lovely setting. Resturant meals excellant good choice and reasonably priced. Staff very helpful. We stayed in the gatehouse. Hotel room clean and comfortable. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Would recommend the museum passport.
