out of 5The overall break was excellent. Great value for money having the train fare included in the price with Superbreak; stress-free and simple with no frustrating check-in and customs at airport. Hotel malmaison was quirky, original and thoroughly enjoyable - children aged 14 and 12 in adjacent room thoroughly enjoyed themselves too. Definitely would recommend (actually have done already).

out of 5I've travelled to this area before but this time we got a 'little ' lost. It was all well worthwhile though because the hotel was lovely and we paid a great price for it.The locality was quaint with a number of excellent eating places on the doorstep. Superbreak could update the driving directions to the hotel...Woolworths went out of business 4 years ago.

out of 5For the price Superbreak charge for the malmaison you cannot go wrong. Free parking and bus 22 runs into the city centre and murryfield every 5-10 minutes, for £1.30 each. Great restaurants nearby including the kings wark which a couple of girls at the rugby recommended. Good food, well priced but beware its busy! pay the little extra or in some cases less for the mal as opposed to a bigger chain standard room. Ps breakfast was great.

Enjoyable Stay At Leith

out of 5The malmaison at leith was very dark, the bed was hard and the floorboards creaked so we heard every noise the people in the room above us made. We looked onto the side of the hotel, over a cobbled road and every night or should i say every early morning around 2-3am the bin men emptied the recycling and the lorries made deliveries....Not a good nights sleep. On a more positive note, breakfast was good and the staff very very friendly. We dined out an we had the best italian meal ever at guillianos just a 2 min walk from malmaison.
