Prague

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

K&K Hotel Central is an excellent hotel. The bedrooms are fairly small but very well equipped. There is free internet access in the lobby. It is very clean and well managed. Prague is far more expensive than 5 years ago apart from the local beer which is still only about £1.50 per pint. Eating out is now about the same as England. However the city has seen many of its projects completed in the past 5 years and looks well for it. We visited the State Opera House to see Carmen. The theatre is absolutely wonderful and the whole evening was a complete pleasure. Ticket prices are very reasonable. Prague is still attracting some stag and hen parties and you can avoid them by visiting during the week.

Short Break In Prague

A customerfrom Anguswho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 30/08/09

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

The hotel is one of the best we have stayed in. Very clean, staff are nice and the hotel is central. Most attractions are within walking distance. The first day we were there we went on the walking tour of the city, which was very good, you got to see things and learn about the city. Prague is a beautiful city and very cheap, beer is cheaper than water, what more could you wany. There is plenty to see and do, some of the concerts are really good. Try a boat ride on the river. Charles bridge at night, shopping, a lot of the shops are open till 11 o'clock at night, which is great. We are not use to that in Scotland. Most of the bars and restaurants are really good, and have their menus in English, which is a great help. We went on a day trip to Karlovy Vary which was excellent.

Spectacular Building And Impressive Breakfast Area

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

I stayed here for 2 nights on business and the hotel is absolutely beautiful - from the glass lift which has been wonderfully restored to the glass cube where you will find the breakfast room and conference room below. The hotel is located just of Namesti Republicky close to the new Palladium Shopping centre - with bars, restaurants, shops and a nightclub. It is a perfect location from which to explore the Old Town which is a mere 5 minutes walk away and also Wenceslas Square which is about 10 minutes walk. The hotel is a 4 star and a very good one at that the rooms are on the small side but are more than suitable for a short break and the beds are very comfortable. There is free wi-fi in the public areas and LAN access in all rooms. The breakfast was very good offering cheeses, hams, cooked selection, fresh fruits, yogurts, toast, pastries, doughnuts and cereals. All in all a perfect hotel for a short break in a beautiful city.

Lovely city did plenty of walking, spent time aroung the square. The thing that spoilt the city tour was that we couldn't understand the guide very well she went from English to Italian without a break.
