out of 5Dublin, by the standards of most capital cities, is tiny but that is it's greatest strength; you can get to literally anywhere by a short walk. Jury's Inn opposite Christchurch is really well placed for almost all the main tourist attractions. The church is across the road; the Castle and City Hall a short walk away; Trinity College a bit further down; the river -across the road and down a bit; Grafton Street just down the road again. It's a vibrant, bubbling place to visit -but be warned - your Euro just doesn't get you very far. Even eating during the early bird hours (and there are some real bargains to be had) cost the three of us almost 100 euros a meal with drinks. Not cheap. Parking is a nightmare though and it's good the hotel has access to a public car park (we paid 28 Euros for a two night stay) and the sign-posting for drivers is lamentable; just as well you can walk anywhere. If you have time try The Queen of Tarts - lovely pastries and hot chocolate (at a bit of a price) and the Robecks juice and smoothie place on the corner just down from the hotel does great drinks that make you feel virtuous as well! Would definitely recommend Dublin and the hotel for first time visitors.

out of 5After arriving at lunchtime we went to find St Patricks Cathedral which is well worth a visit.My husband who is a bellringer was to ring there in the evening.The next day was lovely and sunny so we went on the open top bus around Dublin. Again this is well worth doing as you see things you would not see otherwise.we stolled around St Stephens Green and then had a walk down Grafton Street admiring all the shops.
