out of 5Had a lovely stay in the Jorvik hotel in York room was very good with a large bed and although the bathroom is small is is lovely and all you need. The staff are all very pleasant and helpfull and the breakfasts are delicious. The hotel is ideally situated with just a short walk from the station and also just a short walk to York city centre but it situated on a quiet street. The city of York is well worth a visit with plenty to do we will certainly go back and would stay at the Jorvik again.

out of 5Although York is quite hilly and we are disabled we managed a good part of the city. Although castle museum was good their facilities for disabled - terrible. Overall very good trip with an excellent train journey both ways. Would do a break again by train but to another destination. Would recommend york by train with jorvik hotel, particularly its location.

out of 5Could not fault the hotel for its location, ideal for a couple like ourselves mid to late fifties. All attractions within a ten minute walk. Great for nightlife, the local hostelries had such characture and history, overall a marvellous break.
