out of 5The drive to the Iona ferry took over an hour but was very scenic. Iona itself well worth a visit. The abbey is very interesting and we had a lovely walk with good sea views.The hotel is in an ideal location. The dinner in the hotel was excellent and very good service. Our room though, was a twin, not a double and was opposite the laundry and under the dining room. We were wakened by a phone call from the night porter at 1.40 a.m. asking us to be quiet! It then took us two hours to get back to sleep due to the noise of machinery upstairs We com[plained next mornin g and were told someone had complained about noise which was actually from a room further along. Wold suggest that such complaints are checked out by going alog to the rooms and not phoning. I must admit we were worried that it was an emergency phone call. The leisure centre and spa are first class.

out of 5The hotel was 1st class, staff were very well trained. View was great, and Spa was 1st class. How a hotel should be run.We were blessed with good weather much walking was done. Mull has beautifull scenery, but if it rains there would not be a lot to do. The above hotel would be the only place to be in that case.

out of 5The island is a Scottish paradise with wildlife around almost every corner. there is not many places open during the winter months however as you approach Tobermory there is a great bistro/craft shop that sells great coffee and home made cakes.The village of Tobermory although small is very colourful and yes it does look like Balamory. Travel around the island as much as possible as the scenery is truly awesome, during our short visit we saw numerous Stags with full antlers and at least 3 eagles.The only thing to watch for is that during the winter months the ferry has a limited service and it is always advisable to book ahead.
