About this hotel
The Wild Boar Inn, Grill and Smokehouse nestles in a peaceful setting in the Gilpin Valley close to Lake Windermere benefiting from the beautiful surrounding countryside, including its own private woodland for guests to enjoy, whilst perfectly positioned to explore the rest of the great outdoors in the fabulous Lake District National Park. Recent extensive renovations has provided some more exciting reasons to visit including a new Grill and Smokehouse with open kitchen and chef's table which will offer a little more theatre to the dining experience. Also the 17 individually designed new feature and luxury rooms each room has unique features such as copper baths and log fires, as well as modern touches such as iPod docking ports. Whilst still offering a number of Classic rooms which have all the standard comforts you would expect from a comfortable country inn. The Wild Boar Inn continues to offer the same quality warmth of hospitality for which it has built a fine reputation: a special venue for many an occasion, whether that be a romantic or adventurous break, family get-together, intimate business meeting or as one of our very valued frequent diners.
