A Quick Stop in Barcelona

I only had two days to see as much of Barcelona as possible. I started off by getting one of the tour buses around the city which gave me the opportunity of earmarking the sites I wanted to see and of glancing at the others. The tour buses are really easy to find and for 26 euros you could hop on and off for two days. I went on a gondolina around the harbour which was a nice way to cool down and enjoy some of the coast again fairly good value at 10 euros for 1.5 hours. I found shopping just to tempting and set off to find my weakness shoes. If you go off the beaten track there are some excellant bargains to be had and don't forget to haggle it's expected. I would say my favourite thing was the Fat Tyre bike tour a four hour guided ride around the sites excellant value at 22 euros and great fun. Don't do it in the day though it would be far to hot. I recommend going on the 7pm tour when it is much cooler though those with children might find the 11pm end a little late. I would recommend Barcelona to anyone. If I had one critisism it would be that things can be a little expensive, if you pay with to larger a note for anything but particularly a meal change is very slow in coming or they just assume the change is the tip. Also keep a close eye on your bags/wallet/mobile phones etc if they are not secure you will lose them. However, I lost nothing and gained a lovely break. The world is a book those who do not travel read only one page (don't know who said it but it really is true).
