Nice Hotel Shame About Sunday Breakfast

out of 5We stayed from thursday to monday and the hotel was busy with a wedding party. We were going to eat in the hotel on the sunday night as there was a jazz band on, but after the service and time waiting for our breakfast, we went into the town instead. The breakfast service was totally disorganised and we waited half an hour for food, the table wasn't even set properly and some of the items on the buffet had run out. Our room was nice with a huge bathroom. Although there is free car parking on site it too is a little chaotic at times with only one way in and out. We found norwich easy to get around on foot with pleasant walks along the river. All the pubs we visited were good and the shopping is good too, lots of pedestrianised parts with individual shops as well as shopping malls with high street names. We would go back again for another trip as there is plenty to see and do.

out of 5We chose Norwich because it is an atractive city with interesting pedestrianised shopping streets. The Georgian house hotel was lovely. It is not often that you get a hotel so near a city centre that has (free) car parking. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, furnished in boutique style. The radiators were not working properly but the management had already put an oil-filled radiator in the room which we were glad to use because we stayed during a very cold snap. Fortunately we chose to stay on a dbb basis because the evening meal was really good - one of the best rib-eye steaks I have ever eaten. The dining room was very tastefully decorated. All staff at the Georgian house were pleasant and helpful. We would certainly stay there again and would recommend it to friends.

out of 5Excellent hotel with friendly staff, the room was very comfortable, restaurant meals very good if a bit pricey. The cathedral is well worth a visit. The weather was bitterly cold but it didn't rain.
