out of 5We had alovely weekend in york. The hotel was very central and we could walk to everything. The staff were friendly and the room was very comfortable. We enjoyed some excellent pubs.

out of 5The hotel was excellent and the views were of the city wall. The information given by the hotel staff was accurate and they were all polite at all times. The room far exceeded our expectations. York was a good place to visit, but we felt the cost of going into 'museum of yorkshire' was excessive. We thought museums were supposed to be free, they were in glasgow.

out of 5We stayed at the monkbar hotel for my birthday, the staff were very friendly and attentive making us feel very welcome. Our room was clean and fairly good in size, we had dinner on the first night which was lovely. Would recommend this hotel as it is ideally located for the minster and shambles and has car parking which is a premium in york.
