out of 5Perfectly located for walking to all the major attractions in York city centre, and the rooms are pretty good. The ony let down was the breakfast - poor quality food, lack of attention from staff (one girl serving the whole restaurant on the monday morning), but I would recommned the monk bar nonetheless, as the facilities in general are good (and the front desk staff were very good.).

out of 5An excellent hotel, well sited for visiting the main attractions. Staff very friendly & helpful. Bedroom was a bit basic (ther was only a single wardroom in the room). Did not visit 'york minster' as it was visited on a previous trip. The national railway museum, the outer castle wall walk, clifords tower, yorvik centre & a ghost walk were undertaken.These attractions were very informative & enjoyable. Overall a throughly enjoyable break.
