out of 5My wife and I spent a few days at the Westerwood hotel and had a wonderful relaxing time. The view from the room window accross the golf course was very pleasing. As a lover of shooting and other country sports, I was pleased to see the wildlife running around the grounds, although I was unable to put some of it in the pot as I would have done at home. The overall character of the hotel was very interesting and the staff more than helpful. Food apart from the "plated breakfast", which had been left under a hot lamp for too long and had turned hard, on the first morning was very good. The evening meals were excellent! A good place to explore from or if you want to take it easy then this is the place to have a well earned break. On the down side only a few minor things had been let slide by. The bathroom in our room had sustained some wear and tear damage which had not been properly repaired. Bath chiped inside 3 places, wash hand basin chipped and cracked, mixer taps loose on same and shower surround coming apart at the bottom. I would like the oppertunity to see these things put in order and the stay would be 1st class.

out of 5The hotel staff, bedroom and facilities were good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good but we had one evening meal in the hotel restaurant that was awful. We waited one hour before the starter arrived and could here other people complaining about the delay in being served. The quality of the food was poor with some items i.e. chips undercooked even after complaint the second lot were also undercooked. Talking to other guests it appeared the same problems occurred the following night and were not a one off.
