out of 5My grandchildren and I stayed in the fabulous Marriot hotel in the city centre. What a great location so near the shops and buses. We also took the ferry it cost £7 for the whole day and we could hop on and off whenever we wanted. It took us directly to SS Great Britain. Fantastic Superbreak.

out of 5With 3 children in tow and frosty weather Bristol was a great place to visit. Hotel overlooked the castle park and near Harvey Nicholls, we walked everywhere, apart from a short ferry crossing (only 60p). So much to look at, even in January. Loved SS Great Britain, looking forward to a return visit to see the new museum of Bristol.

out of 5This weekend was a pure shopping extravaganza. And Bristol city centre lived up to its reputation as a top quality shopping centre, with the excellent Marriott hotel just yards away from all the shops. This Marriott ticks all the boxes, spotlessly clean room, beautiful food, and excellent staff.

out of 5We stayed at the Marriott (castle location) which was excellent. The staff were stunning, exceptionally helpful and efficient. The (complimentary) meal on the first night was excellent - we expected a small number of limited options but were invited to freely choose from the a la carte menu. The only small negative comments would be that the room was exceptionally warm, to the point of being uncomfortable and although the aircon was very effective, it was too noisy to have on throughout the night. Noise from the traffic made it impossible to open the windows. There is very little street car parking close by and despite the hotel's £3 reduction in the local ncp's daily charge of £14, it still made quite a hole in our budget. Overall it was a great weekend and excellent value for money. We discovered there was much more to see and do in Bristol than we'd realised and will be going back for another weekend again next month.
