out of 5No meals, apparently the freezer has been out of action for a month.Charged for parking overnight at the hotel, never happened to me before.

out of 5The Cockermouth Travel Lodge is very basic but has adequate facilities. Unbelievably payment is required in the motel car park - £3:00 a day. This seems totally unacceptable for a Travel Lodge which targets travellers in cars as you could not really use public transport to get there. There are no evening meals in the bar at the moment but the rooms are clean and well maintained. Not as good as last time we visited because there is now a lot of building going on around the Lodge which spoils the views and is very noisy. Delivery vans for the Travel Lodge arrive early in the morning and also contribute to the noise - ok if you want a (very) early morning call!A visit to the theatre in Keswick is highly recommened and the food there is freshly made and tasty, if only limited to soups, salads, jacket portates and sandwiches in the bar. You can 'Go Ape' at Whinlatter or just enjoy a walk and some bird spotting.

out of 5Disgusting £3.00 overnight charge to park vehicle with not a very apparent security checks!Excellent shopping at Dumfries with reasonable prices compared to Isle of Man.
