out of 5Hotel clean rooms good but noise from doors slamming at night breakfast great best part of weekend. Dinner food poor would not eat this again seated at 6.30 had to ask for desert menu at 8.30 staff just not up to serving more than one table a night. Rooms are all set with stairs disabled have to wait for staff to come and bring key for stair lift to work what a waste of time that was. Would not stay again.

out of 5We booked the Longhirst hotel as we wanted a quality place to stay and we were not disappointed on booking in staff were very nice our room was perfect clean and tidy. The meal we had in the main resturant was amazing it got better after every course we also ate in the bar on 2 nights and food was still amazing well presented. Staff were friendly and very efficient. We will be back in the spring.

out of 5Ourselves and friends stayed here at reduced rates. Was disappointed with staff and layout. Would not have liked to have paid full price. Going to rooms unassisted was like a route march through a maze. Poor lack of communication with staff re enquiry we made. Altogether it was a place to lay your head overnight but would not go back.

out of 5Had a three days, two nights stay in Northumberland. Food in the hotel was very good although the service tended to be quite slow. We enjoyed Durham having never been before especially the beautiful cathedral. We both love holy island and the visit did not disappoint although would prefer it if there were less people around - the trouble with school holidays!! Again we love seahouses and enjoyed fish and chips on the front, a beautiful day, and smoked prawns from the swallow smokery. Delicious.
