Girls Trip To London

Stay Date: 11/07/10

Overall Hotel Rating:

3 out of 5

Visited London with daughter and sister-in-law. Did all the major sight seeing places. Went to Mamma Mia, excellent seats. Second time seen and better than last time. Went to comedy store, very enjoyable. Spent all morning in Harrods as weather exceptionally hot. Enjoyed just looking but spent little. Hotel was very convenient for Earls Court tube. Did all travel on tube, bought day ticket each day. Dayticket was definetely worth it. Hotel room ok but booked 3 singles. Ended up with double and bed setee, which was not very comfortable. No air conditioning but did supply fan which was just about adequate. Cooked breakfast was ok apart from disgusting "mock" bacon. Did find you had to ask for cooked breakfast even though we had paid in advance for this service. Having said all that would stay there again for convenience. Discovered Wagamamas, healthy food at reasonable prices.

London Sights

book a full tour of london with isango and you will see more in one day than you could imagine, the day is packed with lots of interesting sights, views etc it includes a trip on the london eye, shown around by a yeoman at the tower of london before the opening to the public absolutely fantastic. a trip on a river boat with commentary. pick ups are from a near hotel and transfer to relevant coaches at victoria station, guides with tours are very knowledgeable. The only thing is that it involves alot of walking but it is worthwhile.the only thing we had a problem with was that the train had reserved seats in all coaches and we had to stand up the whole journey home which took 2.30 hours.
