Short Break In Dublin

A customerfrom UKwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Overall Hotel Rating:

2 out of 5

Our short break in dublin was everything we had hoped for and more. However, the room in the hotel was very poor. It smelt quite musty, the water coming out of the shower had no pressure and fluctuated between hot and cold and neither the sink or shower had adequate drainage. We did report these concerns firstly to reception and then the hotel manager but we were asked what we expected with a "standard" room. I aknowledged we had booked a "standard" room but i didnt expect to get "sub-standard" facilities. Maintenance changed the shower head which improved the flow from a fast drip to a light spray but nothing else was done or offered to aleviate the problem. Overall, a dissapointing occurance in an otherwise fantastic holiday.

Older Guys' Bachelor Party

A customerfrom UKwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 17/04/11

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

A group of 5 guys, aged between 27 and 52, in dublin for the weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Cafe enseine became our base camp, with it's great food during the day and lively atmosphere at night, they even have guinness on-tap at your table! krystle club is more like an ibiza hotspot than something you'd expect in dublin, it's open-air so you're in for a treat! the guinness factory was a real let-down, but it has a nice bar at the top over looking the city, so worth a look. All in all a great weekend away!.

Short break in Dublin

A customerwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 27/02/11

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

The hotel was pleasant and well decorated, however it was located directly next to some train lines. Our hotel room actually looked onto the tracks, luckily they did not travel through the night. It was a shame that this hotel was not located elsewhere. Also, the bar at the hotel was quite noisy and clearly full of non-residents and despite reception indicating the bar would do room service, they did not and reception could not help us with room service at all, despite the menu being in the room! overall, there were a few negatives to this hotel, but it was a pleasant stay, particularly if you were to be using this as a base for travel to the city.

Good For The Weekend

A customerwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 27/02/11

Overall Hotel Rating:

3 out of 5

This hotel is divided by a railway line with the old building at the front and the newer part at the rear. Unfortunately our room [101] just had a wall between it and the busy railway line so everything shook when the trains went past [frequently]. That aside the hotel is in a good location for central dublin and - for smokers - it had the best smoking area i have seen anywhere. Breakfast was excellent and the room clean & tidy.
