out of 5Very pleased with hotel room which overlooked the gardens. Spa & gym facilities were good. Breakfast was good but evening meal in hotel restaurant was disappointing. Would recommend park and ride (cardiff east)to get into cardiff - £3 per car all day.

out of 5Had a lovely 2 night break at the best western hotel in st mellons, cardiff. The hotal was clean & comfortable, the outside of the building could do with a little tlc, and the rooms although clean & comfortable, could do with an update. The breakfast was excellent, as was the evening meal that was included in the deal. The staff were very efficient & friendly, and a minor problem with the shower screen which we reported to reception was dealt with promptly.The hotel is in a lovely quiet location, but was further out of the centre of Cardiff than advertised, ie it was about 7 miles rather than 4. We mainly shopped in the excellent centre, had a quick look at the castle, and went to Cardiff Bay which was nice. We drove in to the centre the 1st day & paid a fortune to park for a few hours £10)! used the excellent park & ride facility next day which was £3 to park all day, & free on bus which were every 15 mins.

out of 5Nice hotel, stay in the main hotel, we has room 26, maybe the best. Good gym, great food, our only problem was we couldn't find our way back from Cardiff - buy a sat nav!!.
