out of 5I took my husband on a short break for his 40th birthday in April this year and we stayed at the Best Western Queen's City West Hotel in Berlin for 3 nights. A very modern and welcoming hotel, staff were very helpful and our room was spacious and well furnished. Breakfast was super and they had a great selection of food to suit everyone, from eggs and bacon to cold meats, fruit and lovely fresh bread! Hotel was very conveniently located and only a short walk from the nearest underground.We took a tour bus of the city on our first day and visited all the sights, and used this knowledge to travel on the excellent transport system in Berlin on our second day. We bought all day pass for the undergound (U Bahn), Trains (S Bahn) and buses (No. 100 and 200 will take you to and from all the sights in the City Centre). The day pass covers all modes of transport, but you could also purchase a Welcome Card and this will include all your transport for the duration of your stay. Food was excellent and we found everyone very helpful and quite fluent in English as our German was a little rusty to say the least! Would definately recommend a visit I know we are certainly going to return!

out of 5Superb, I would definitely be going back, however I would choose a different hotel due to the fact that the bar wass never open and it did not have a resteraunt.

out of 5We stayed overnight in Berlin after a 7 day steam train extravaganza in Poland ! Travelling by train from Venlo using a DB ICE high speed express was excellent.
