out of 5Stayed here one night at the end of a touring holiday. The hotel was positioned with lovely views over the loch and was very secluded giving good walks in the grounds. The room was large as you would expect in a castle and the ensuite bathroom was definitely a great improvement on more modern hotels. Excellent food served in a dining room with large glass windows overlooking the loch. Many varieties of whisky served in the bar but only two types of sherry!.

out of 5We took two days away in Kintyre. Stonhaven Castle Hotel was magical with the view from the dining roon the most spectacuLAR I have seen. We made the mistake of driving up past Loch Lomond from Glasgow instead of taking the two ferries. Gourock-Dunoon and Portavadie-Tarbert. This cut off an hour on the way back and allowed us to see some spectacular scenery near the island of Bute. It was definatelt a place for those who want to get away from it all.

out of 5We stayed at Stonefield near Carse on the Isle of Kintyre. We decided to splurge on one stay in Scotland, and selected Stonefield. It was the right choice. Everything was well worth the expense, and the staff well deserved the gratuity we added. We would stay again.
