out of 5We visited our son and his family in Chepstow. He, our granddaughter and I enjoyed the pool. We had breakfasts at the hotel and ate with them.I enjoyed the fitness centre. My wife and I found all the staff seemed to make a point of being friendly. Top marks.
Fantastic Stay At St Pierre

out of 5I took my wife to the Marriott St Pierre near Chepstow for our first anniversary. It was perfect with the staff doing everything within their power to accomadate us. The scenery was gorgeous with lots of places to relax and have a picnic (especially a champagne one). There are plenty of places to visit such as Chepstow town, Tintern abbey and the forest of dean to name a few.
Top Hotel for a Weekend Break

Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5If you want to get away for a weekend, The St Pierre is a great choice. The accommodation is classic, but well maintained and the grounds and exterior are quite stunning. Staff are really attentive - we were also greeted by the customer services manager as it was our anniversary. The food was a good standard, but not stunning, in the main restaurant. Unfortunately the golf courses were under water, so we didn't get a chance to play. Having played there before, I know they are top class.

Stay Date: 05/06/07
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5My late father was a golf professional who designed one of the 2 golf courses at St Pierre nr Chepstow - now a Marriott Hotel. My brother, his son and I decided to play a round of golf at his course. The game of golf was very enjoyable but quite expensive considering how much we were paying to stay at the hotel.I booked in March and rang the hotel just before leaving to drive 150 miles to St Pierre and was told that the hotel did not have our reservation. I rang the Marriott hotel central booking office and was told the same. I then rang Superbreaks and they rang Marriott and sorted it out in 2 minutes. Then Marriott rang me back to say that they now had found my room. I expected better service from such an expensive hotel. We tried both restaurants and found the food was OK but not much better and not worth the cost. We drove to a pub on the A48 called the Rock & Fountain and had an excellent meal for a very reasonable price.

Editor's Comments: We work hard to ensure our booking procedures are very comprehensive and we are working with the hotel to ensure that their reservation procedures are reviewed.
