out of 5The hotel and room seemed very nice as a first impression but we had a serious problem with the bed. The springs in the mattress had gone completely which made the bed really uneven and we had two dreadful nights sleep. We were unable to change rooms because the hotel was full. We complained to the reception that really the room was unfit to be let but that didn't help us. We were very happy when we checked out to get a good nights sleep elsewhere and of course we could not unfortunately return. The restaurant however was very good and i would say above average for a hotel restaurant.

out of 5The hotel was clean, the staff were welcoming and there are lots of shops/ shopping centre nearby. The only thing not mentioned when we booked was the car parking charges at the hotel.

out of 5I was born and lived in solihull for 65 years, moved to clacton-on-sea in 2004 and this is second return visit. Although i love the place i do not regret moving away. St johns is a very good hotel and in the centre of all you could wish to see in solihull.
