We wanted to go away for our 10th wedding anniversary and keep things cost effective - we could not have chosen better. On arrival you must not be put of by exterior which we likened to an oap home!!!!!! We stayed in a double room with ensuite which although a tad dated was spotlessly clean and all the plumbing worked - the shower was excellent :) the restaurant, bar and fitness suite were excellent and extrememly comfortable. We ate in the delfryn everying night and the food was excellent and not measly portions. The breakfasts were delisious and set us up for the day where we did not need another meal until the evening. The staff were very relaxed and nothing was too much trouble - we were made to feel very at home. We had the 3 nights for two b&b deal and it was excellent value for money. Special thanks to holly and wendy who we struck up very good raports with although the rest of the staff were fantastic too. Thank you xxx.

We have now stayed at this hotel 5 times in the last year and have booked another 3 night stay for w/e 18th feb. All with Superbreak although only 3* rated the hotel staff are 5 star the breakfasts and meals that we have had in the resturant are maybe not cordon blue but we rate them as 5 star and would recommend the resturant to any one.

We arrived at this hotel early afternoon, about 5 minutes before the bar restaurant was about to close. Despite this the employee (Anthony) offered to wait until we checked in and brought sandwiches of our choice to the room. These were delicious as was the rest of the hotel food, whether this was evening dinner or breakfast. The room could not be faulted - clean, spacious room, comfy, four poster bed, large bath in a great bathroom. We seemed to have exclusive use of the hotel swimming pool (heated) and sauna. The staff could not do enough for us, all were really helpful despite being really busy - there was a 250 guest wedding reception there on our first night. Apart from Anthony special mention should be made of Matthew and the two main girls on reception (Holly and Kirsty?). My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and also my birthday, and wanted something a bit special for the weekend - we certainly got this at the Springfield hotel and also at the Greenacres animal park, which was less than 10 miles away.

We wanted a reasonably priced weekend break- and got it! For the very reasonable price we paid, we had a clean and comfortable (if a bit shabby) room, but the food was wonderful, both at breakfast and dinner. An extra bonus was the pool, which was big enough to have a decent swim in. The view from our room over the estuary was great. We toured the area by car - beautiful coast and mountain scenery. We would definitely go back.
