Great Stay In Scarborough

The royal hotel is in an ideal location for both the shops and sea front. The only downside is the noisy seagulls at 5 am!! When I booked a family room through Superbreak there was no mention of having to pay for the children's breakfast. They wanted another £5 each which I wouldn't pay as children would only have some toast.

Short Break In Scarborough

A customerwho stayed at 3* Grand Hotel Scarborough in Scarborough wrote this review.

Stay Date: 03/04/12

Overall Hotel Rating:

Disappointed with grand hotel. Room first allocated on top floor needed two lifts and was small with sloping ceilings. Not much happier with substitute room on fifth floor which was small and hot (in april). Dinner buffet was disappointing - food had been left out for hours and was dry and tasteless. Breakfast was only slightly better. Public areas of hotel were impressive but food and bedrooms were unsatisfactory.

Scarborough, Short Break

A customerwho stayed at 3* Grand Hotel Scarborough in Scarborough wrote this review.

Stay Date: 03/04/12

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

We arrived early morning and went into the ivy house tea rooms on the seafront for a very good breakfast, we went to the grand hotel to book in approx 2:00pm (parking is a nightmare), the room was very small but had all the amenities we needed. The view over the bay was excellent and the evening meal & breakfast were both very good. We went to the hotel cabaret room in the evening and the entertainment was average but enjoyable. The rotunda museum is well worth a visit and the castle is too. All in all a very enjoyable short break.
