out of 5We went on short weekend break to Durham lovely hotel nice and central, lots of little independant shops as well as the usual high street ones there is also an indoor market which is worth a visit, there were loads of good places to eat and drink from sports bars to bistros we will definately be back.

out of 5Lovely little town but not much to do, 2 nights was enough. Hotel was lovely and the room was clean, modern and had wonderful views over the river. Breakfast wasn't great - the cooked food was cold and the choice was fairly limited.

out of 5Lovely hotel, great location, very convenient for access to durham town & the staff were both helpful & friendly. The only negative was at the checking in, wrong type of room allocated, and we were waiting while the room was being made ready. We finally got into the room just before 5pm, bearing in mind check-in is from 2pm onwards. Due to the delays, we never got chance to look around the spa etc....So we really saw very little of the hotels other amenities. Rooms were comfortable and clean, ideal for an overnight stop. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. For information - there was an additional charge for use of the hotels car park, approx £6.50. Overall i would be happy to use this hotel again.
