36 Hours In Dublin

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

Following a very early start to catch plane. Staff at hotel accepted our bag at 10am which allowed us to get round the city easier. Bus tour great gave us chance to catch our breath and see the sights. Storehouse trip well worth it, pint of guinness with a great view. Dublin castle was very interesting and a way to slow the pace after lunch. Also got to see a street cycle race that was a pleasant suprise before we had a great meal in Temple Bar before a nice stroll back to hotel. After a very filling breakfast we had a stroll through St Stephens Park and then along Grafton Street to sample the shops. Visited Trinity College and the art gallery before getting a bite to eat. Sadly no more time left so caught the bus to airport. A fantastic break and the weather helped.

Dublin city break

A customer from Cheshire who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 16/09/08

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

The hotel was in a good location and buses were frequent and cheap which made it easy to get about. The city centre was similar to London; busy and very cosmopolitan. The Guinness factory is a must see and Dublin Zoo and Wicklow were great days out too. Luigi Malones is an amazing restaurant and we enjoyed it so much that we will be going back there again next year for my birthday meal out! The hotel room we were given was the smallest double room and the view was obscured by a wall plus the lift cut into some of the room space and I wasn't impressed. However, after asking the receptionist if we could change rooms I was very happy with the new double room we were given, much more space, nice view and no lift noise.

Great little hotel/guest house. Free parking a big plus in dublin and lovely breakfast. Dublin is now very expensive for eating and drinking but worth a short visit.

Dublin Visit

A customer who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 13/02/08

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

The Pembroke Hotel is a lovely hotel but slighty too far out of the city centre for my liking. However, reception soon advised which bus to take (the no.10)and this saved our aching feet. Jamesons tour is great (especially if you get picked to be a taster), and the jail is really interesting but very cold. Eating and drinking isn't cheap in Dublin but Georges Restaurant was lovely.
