out of 5Having read the reviews and saw the standard stay tariffs the Superbreak offer seemed too good to be true, however it lived upto its reputation and more. The hotel is set on the slip way in a tiny cove that is splendid in its isolation and far removed from the tourist trail, there is no phone signal mind throughout the village unless you walk up the cliffs so be aware! The walks along the cliffs are beautiful and you can reach some pretty bays within a couple of hours. The hotel food was superb and provided many little touches in your room to make you feel welcome. Hot chocolate sachets at bedtime,.finding cake in our room when returning from our walk. Fruit and water set out and biscuits on arrival. These things may not seem or indeed cost much but it is those things made us feel valued even if on a package deal! The balcony was a lovely place to sit and watch the water ebb back and forth and all in all was a stay that will be fondly remembered for a long time.

out of 5The hotel is actally on the harbour slipway and we stayed in the boat house also on the slipway. The boat house is an annex,25-30m away from the hotel. It is just a small horbour in an idylic setting. A peaceful place to spend 2 nights.

out of 5This hotel is a combination of small house on the quayside at Portloe. Each house is individual, and comes with tasteful furnishings - and a place to leave wet coat and muddy shoes and boots. The location is a small fishing village, but the hotel is excellent. We went on a two day package that was a very good deal for such a good hotel. Although access is via narrow country lane - not suitable for large cars - the hotel is quiet, and close to many varied attractions. I would recommend it to anyone who loves a peaceful place and the sea.
