Le Touquet is the most elegant seaside resort of northern France known as Paris by the Sea offering fantastic outdoor activities, a racecourse and a casino. The area is surrounded by luscious pine forests and wide sandy beaches. Montreuil is 12 km from the coast and surrounded by medieval ramparts.

out of 5Regretfully the room given at first not cleaned. Second room given, large, clean. Excellent breakfast plenty of choice hotel staff most helpful. Excellent location in town. A well recommended. Well done.

out of 5Large pleasant room, and a bathroom with windows, not internal. Reasonable buffet breakfast. Would return. Interesting town, walked all round the walls.

out of 5We'd been to Montreuil many times before but never stayed in such a grand hotel as the Hermitage. The rooms were spacious and, as our youngest son still goes free, it was excellent value for a 2 night break.The squre in Montreuil is quiet but not at about 5.30 when the local schools and college finish for the day! Numerous buses and hundreds of students made their way home after a long day.We watched from a local bar (the only one with seats outside and in the sun!) and enjoyed a beer and a kir.Agincourt was a surprise with interactive displays, in English, and a full explanation of the run up to and conclusion to the Battle. Against all the odds, a resounding win for the English!! This made us rush to rent Henry V on DVD as soon as we returned home. Altogether a very successful trip.Walking the Ramparts at Boulogne is a good way to work up an appetite, or walk off the few extra pounds you are bound to have put on after even one day in France! The cheese is marvellous and all thoughts of diet go out the window.What a wonderful experience!
