out of 5Everything was first-class with the exception of the sunday arrangements for full breakfast, which was 'self-service'. Food items were only luke-warm. All other days' were individually cooked and were excellent.

Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5The hotel itself is very good & the standard of the rooms very high. The tea tray offered was rather poor with very little on it. My husband was very disappointed that it was not made clear to us at breakfast that we could have had a full english & not the continental breakfast included in the price we paid. The menu on the table stated we would have had to pay a further £6 each which out of principal we chose not to. Upon checkout the receptionist on duty was inefficient, unprofessional & seemed unable to cope with the customers.

out of 5Lovely cosy reception and bar area. Staff very helpful, especially given that they had no record of our booking from Superbreak (bit of a concerning start). Excellent meal in the restaurant, beautifully presented and very tasty. Only comment would be that the hotel gives the impression of being a black and white traditional inn but there are actually very few rooms in the main part of the building and you are more likely to be in the modern annexe at the rear of the building which is not apparent on any of the pictures. That was a little disapointing but the comfy bed, good food and service made up for this.
Wonderful Time Touring Oxford

out of 5We chose to visit Oxford on a short break and look around the city, well what a lovely day we had visiting the old colleges and looking at the beautiful old buildings. The hotel was a few miles out of Oxford where the staff were excellent and the room really cosy, clean and well presented and the food excellent all in all a wonderful short break.

out of 5For a night or two the lambert arms is a perfectly adequate hotel. The room and bathroom was larger than average, clean and comfortable. The restaurant and bar cannot decide whether it is a hotel or a gastropub. However, the food was really first class. Both the evening meal and breakfast were freshly and perfectly cooked. The staff were good at their jobs but a bit rushed off their feet. If I needed a hotel in that area again I would have no hesitation in returning. By the way, the lambert arms is on the A40. However, the a40 has little traffic on it and the rooms are at the back and quiet.
