Short Brake In Istanbul

First night we were given a tiny room (half of it was under the street level) and in order to open the closet door we'd have to move the two beds together as otherwise there was no room. Also the bathroom was tiny. No air-conditioning in the room. At least it was clean. We complained and the staff promised that the next day we'd be transfered in another room. Fortunately they transfered us the next day in a room much bigger and nicer.. Staff in general was very polite and helpful and for this we were very pleased. Apart from the adventure with the hotel the rest of our short break was great. Istanbul is a lovely vibrant city with so many things to do and see... Highly recommended. Stay in the sultanahmet area especially if it is your first time there as it is closer to most of the attractions.

out of 5The hotel is located within walking distant of the main attractions in the Old City of Istanbul including the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia. There is also a small bazaar located by the hotel. It takes around 10-20 minutes to walk to the Spice Bazaar and the Grand Bazaar, and it is only a 5 minute walk from the metro stop. We were staying in one of the apartments in the second building just across from the main building where the reception is located. The room was clean and spacious and featured a TV with various satellite channels, a small kitchen area and good sized bathroom. The reception area offers a computer for use free of charge and wi-fi is also available.All- in- all a perfectly located hotel for those wanting to stay in one of the main areas to access the key sites.
