out of 5Booked the two night break with dinner on the first night for 2 adults / 2 children. The Hollins Hall location is great, easy to find in lovely grounds only 30 mins from the Dales. The room was large and modern and comfortable with two double beds. Bathroom with shower over bath was good. Excellent leisure facilities including a big pool and spa. Breakfast was hot and cold buffet style but a good choice of good quality items.But the highlight was undoubtedly dinner. We had heard that the main restaurant (Heathcliffs) was only open at weekends, so being a Wednesday had expected to eat in the Zest Bar. However, this had been changed for the Summer holidays and the food and service in Heathcliffs was absolutely outstanding. The inclusive dinner was, apart from a small surcharge for 1 or 2 items, any 3 courses from the main a-la-carte menu which also made it extremely good value. The childrens meals (which had to be paid for) were also great.The second night we ate at the Yeadon Stoops Beefeater, about 10 mins drive away which was pleasant enough - good service, usual Beefeater food. The first day we visited Malhamdale (45 min drive) and did the Malham Cove / Gordale walk. Even though we were there at 11.30am the Malham car-park was already full and we had to park in the road (saved £3 though!). The walk took about 4 1/2 hours and there were a lot of people but there are some great sights/views and it's well worth it.The second day we went to Brimham rocks (30 min drive) a NT owned sight which was fantastic - the kids loved climbing up, down, through and under all the rocks. Car park £4 but then free and well worth it for a good 3 hour explore.

out of 5Pleasant room, lovely swimming pool. Disappointed in dinner which was served in zest bistro and a choice of only 2 courses included in deal. Menu was snack based (pizza, jacket potatoes, pasta). Lovely that breakfast was served until 11am. No leaflets for local facilities in hotel, more York, Harrogate etc but staff directed us to Saltaire when asked.

out of 5Stayed for 2 nights with dinner, hotel lovely rooms very clean and staff very helpfull. Leisure facilities were great and the spa treatments are fab, would stop here again.
