out of 5Myself and two best friends wanted to do a weeend in London on a budget. The Britannia hotel in Hampstead was a bit further out of town than we would have liked, but we were able to get oyster cards for the tube, for 3 day for under £20. We used these to get us all over London really quickly so it didn't really matter that we were out of the centre. The hotel itself is ok - it is a little run down and the room was basic and very hot, but the staff were obliging and brought us a fan for the room. The staff were all helpful, advising us where to go, phoning taxis for us and storing our luggage on the last day. On the whole we had a great weekend and didn't spend a fortune.

out of 5Blood Brothers really excellent - definitely worth seeing. Britannia Hampstead hotel - room was clean, bed comfortable, bathroom a bit cramped but plenty hot water and towels. A bit further out of town than we realised when we booked but not really a problem. The night-time traffic noise was the main down-side.

out of 5The Britannia in Hampstead London was a great base for our weekend trip to London, the hotel was good though not excellent, the service was fine and it was in a great location for us. Less than 10mins walk to central Camden which was great for visiting the markets in the morning and for getting back after a night out in Camden. The hotel would be less suitable for tourists who would prefer to stay more centrally, but Camden was the focus for our trip because we have friends there, so for us it was ideal. Would recommend for this reason.
