This was a short break booked with the intention of chilling a lot and visiting and seeing interesting places. We enjoyed the hotel stay all staff friendly and helpful, excellent leisure facilities (which we used both days) located within easy driving distance of manchester, chester, ellesmere port etc...and surrounding areas. We would stay here again well done Superbreak.

Although the room was not "luxurious", it contained all that was needed. It wasn't in the large hall...But it was linked by corridors and there was no need to brave the elements to get to hotel facilities. The grounds and hall were beautiful, feeling throughly rural and yet was surprisingly close to the motorway. This made finding it sooo easy. The staff were more than perfect. Everytime we had need to refer to a member of staff they never failed to be consistently helpful and pleasant. So pleased were we by the service that we actually asked for a review form so that we could compliment the management. We didn't make full use of the extensive facilities, but they looked fabulous, especially the health and fitness area. There were beautifully decorated lounges to "chill out" in , on a sunday morning with a coffee and papers and a roomy, fresh bar area, if you fancy a game of pool or want to watch sport on tv. The food was utterly delicious. Bearing in mind that we paid aroun ?150.00 for 2 nights, a dinner and two full breakfasts for two we were thrilled with the value for money the stay represented. In addition the surrounding area was packed full of interesting destinations. We would thoroughly recommend the anderton boat lift... And buxton... And the peak district... Excellent hotel, great service, great holiday and fantastic break away.

2 day break including 1st night dinner booked as a base camp for visiting relatives in the area. On the whole the hotel was an ideal location for us and had all facilites we required but attention to details did slightly spoil the treat. On arrival reception could not find our booking but fairly quickly found us a room. However this turned out to be a double not the booked twin so again had to get reception to sort out new room. The room was comfortable and breakfast good. Leisure club really good with friendly staff and clean facilites. Unfortunately the dinner (although good food) was rather spoilt by the long wait for dessert menu followed by a 30 min wait to be told they didn't have my choice.
