out of 5The hotel room was very small, but perfectly clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a very convenient base for sightseeing - we went shopping and on a river cruise to the thames barrier and greenwich. We also went to the theatre. A very enjoyable break.

out of 5A quick visit to London to see a nephew on stage at the Royal Opera House, and fit in a gallery visit and a walk in Battersea Park in the beautiful autumn sunshine, before jumping on the train back home again. My hotel was in a useful location near the tate britain and Westminster. The hotel was quiet, apart from the planes coming into Heathrow.

out of 5We had a lovely break in london. Trains were on time, tubes were great. Went to kings road, hyde park, bucks palace, covent garden, regent street. All, very easy to get to from the hotel. The hotel was adequate.....Room was small but spotlessly clean. The bed was not even a double though....More like a 3/4. The staff, however, were the most miserable, moody people i have ever encountered!!
3 Days In London

Stay Date: 22/07/11
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5The hotel was convenient for westminster abbey and the underground. It was easier to get to using pimlico station than victoria. The rooms were on the small side and warm, which meant having the window open at night which made it difficult to sleep with the traffic outside. Breakfast was served efficiently though some waiting occured at busy times.

out of 5Hotel was fine but room must have been the smallest we've ever stayed in, anywhere! However, room did contain everything and we just love to be able to make ourselves a cuppa! All kept very clean and very comfortable. A bit more of a trek to the train station than I had anticipated but otherwise quite convenient as Victoria is a main transport hub. Didn't like being close to some kind of student-type hostel - not 'nice' to see people hanging about outside eating on the street.

out of 5We had a marvelous three days in London. Company was key, we met our cousins from the US. Madame Tussauds was brilliant, though at £65 for the three people it is very expensive indeed especially for just two hours.

out of 5Although we arrived early at the hotel, they were quick to check us in, helped us get the car parked safely and got us headed in the right direction to start our sight-seeingDon't be scared of Black Cabs - we just jumped in and asked to be taken to the best steak house he knew - we ended up at Porters - great food, great atmosphere, great service, great prices. Hackney cabbies are brilliant for local knowledge and tips. You simply have to try the Big Red Bus company tours - hop on and hop off whenever you want - informative and funny commentary. Take advantage of the free boat trip up the Thames for part of the route - superb. Also, your ticket lasts for 24hours so you don't even have to do it all at once!
