Overnight Stay To See Daughter In Waltham Abbey

Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5I have to travel over 200 miles to see my 4 year old daughter. This is the first time that I have done this and can say that i enjoyed the experience. Previous times have not been as enjoyable. Even with the cold weather and dark days we had a great time together. We visited romford to go to the cinema at the brewary. Stayed overnight at the cheshunt marriot hotel which was brilliant. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. Plenty of smiles, a warm welcome and a good breakfast - ps, thankyou to the night shift manager for helping me with the toaster.

out of 5With two boys of 8 and 13 it can be challenging to find a short break that appeals to them as well as myself and my wife. This weekend we managed it in style. We stayed at The Marriott Hotel in Cheshunt, just one hours drive from our home in Cambridgeshire. Our comfortable room had two large double beds and the boys soon found the pool on the ground floor. Dinner in the evening was delicious, as indeed was breakfast this morning. The really special thing about this hotel however is the staff. At every point they were extremely friendly and helpful. After breakfast we headed to Paradise Wildlife Park, a short drive down the road. What a revelation! This fabulous park is packed full of the most wonderful animals including an amazing selection of Big Cats. We were lucky enough to see a Lion Cub being handled by its keeper and saw a fully grown Lion and Lioness being fed. We spent hours learning about the animals and were very impressed by their humane enclosures. It?s hard to believe that we were only away from home for 24 hours. We did so much, and had such a good time. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and Wildlife Park combination. My sons now both want to be zoo-keepers or vets (or have a Lion Cub at home!)
