Weekend In Cannes

out of 5Enjoyed a great break at the belle plage in cannes. The hotel found us a room despite arriving at 9.30am to check in. We were remembered and looked after by all the reception staff to a very high standard. Breakfast was more than adequate and the location was perfect for a beach holiday with plenty of restaurants close by. Great value for money, recommended.

Short Break In Cannes
A customerwho stayed at 4* 3* Mystery Hotel in Cannes wrote this review.

Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5A 3 day break to reccy cannes with a view to sailing at some point. One way ticket bought and found that the tgv and eurostar home to London is 214euros. Mistakenly tried to reduce this by going to paris for 94e, then the bus for 50e. Unfortunately buses were full - needing a paris hotel for 75e, making the same as the eurostar. Cannes hotel superb and only 10 mins walk from the station- though it did face a raised dual-carriageway which some might not like. A lovely garden hid most of that. Cannes stunning! and felt safe(not so in genoa, where i had come from). Haute couture shops by the prom and gorgeous long beach. Of course the cote foothills down to the sea with palms, pines, tumbling wisteria and vines. The castle museum a little disappointing as full of a nobleman's global souveniers rather than cannes history. Many restaurants around the port packed, hence a delicious one on the boulevard jean hibert.

out of 5The hotel was certainly up to 4 star standards and prices. We had a bargain break room at the front overlooking the noisy street so we upgraded to sea view with balcony for 60euros per night but it was well worth it. No tea or coffee available in the room and mini bar was very small.Only one of a very few hotels actually on the beach, which made a huge difference ie no traffic noise, walk straight onto the private beach and bathing platform. Facilities were very good and staff very efficient.Food in the hotel retaurant was very good and there was a huge choice of restaurants and bars in this lively but chic town.Great for a short break but wouldn't want to spend more than a week there.
