out of 5Great relaxing break, friendly staff. Weather not great but plenty to do both at hotel and in locality. Stunning landscapes and good value for money. Highly recommended.

out of 5The hotel looks stunning and is very suited to Golfing breaks. The Hotel spa is too small and the jacuzzi wasn't working when we were there. Meals at the hotel were OK, staff were brilliant; very polite & friendly. We ate at the hotel on the first night, was disappointed in the hygiene as I found a small insect in my starter! Also, on 1 morning milk was sour on the table. I think the hotel is in need of some tlc in certain areas! Location was great for us as we wanted a getaway, only 30mins to Manchester so fine for nights out, but far enough out the city to relax!

out of 5We don't usually bother with reviews, but had read some uncomplimentary ones about this hotel on certain websites, so wanted to redress the balance. This is a good hotel, good value, excellent location.We wanted a comfortable base for some walking in the Peak District. There are some excellent walks close by. Lyme Park is close and worth a visit. The nearest town is Bollington - we loved it so much, we'd like to move there!

out of 5Barcelo Shrigley Hall: wonderful setting and building but short staffed and restaurant menu lacks imagination. Can be noisy at weekend with wedding parties.
