Great hotel and staff were lovely. My husband and I stopped here with our 5 month old son on the way back from our holiday in the lake district. We had a great night and enjoyed the meal that we had booked through Superbreak. The tower and the new sea life aquarium were both brilliant. Would definitely return to the hotel too.

Hectic Weekend In Blackpool

Stay Date: 17/10/10

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

The Imperial hotel was a good base for all the attractions. We had a comfortable stay. Hotel is a little dated but clean and comfortable. Breakfast could be improved on with a little more choice- eg mushrooms and blackpudding. All staff very pleasant and attentive. Pleasure beach very good value for kids if you buy the all day ticket. A horse and cart ride along the promenade although expensive at £15 for 2 miles it was very comfortable and a pleasant change.

January in Blackpool

Stay Date: 24/01/09

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

Hotel full of character, slightly shabby outside, but cosy and welcoming inside. Good food, service in the restaurant in the evening a bit quick, not allowing any time to linger, but staff helpful and friendly. Blackpool v. tacky, as expected, but hotel nicely out of main area.

Great Mini Break in Blackpool

A customerwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 06/09/08

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

We had a great time on our first visit to Blackpool, well worth the long coach journey. The hotel was one of the best we saw while we there with nice interior, great staff and lovely food in the restaurant. We booked our break to include dinner which was a really good decision as the food was superb and we saved money by doing it in advance. Saturday night in Blackpool was a real eye-opener, but the rest of the time was not quite so hectic! The rides at the pleasure beach didn't let us down and we spent a great day there. We carried on the adrenaline seeking the following day on the water slides at sandcastle's water park. We also visited the tower as we didn't want to miss this well known landmark. It was good but a bit frightening going to the top and doing the walk of faith but the we did think it was a bit overpriced. Make sure you take plenty of 2p's if like us you can't resist an arcade, there are plenty of them! We found the best one on Central pier. I would also recommend going to Blackpool during the illuminations, they were great to look at and it would be a shame to go and miss them. Last tip - buy an all day tram pass for £5.95, if you're going to use it a few times to get around, it's well worth it. All in all a great trip, I'd recommend it to both couples and families, young and old.
