Great Time In London

A customerfrom UKwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 02/04/12

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

Hotel was excellemtly situated for arrival at Euston and for trips all over London. Had room 101 at the back of hotel, no view but nice and quiet. Booking with Superbreak gave us excellent value for money with the train and hotel and the seats at the show were far better than those on offer direct from the theatre. Would use Superbreak again.

Ambassadors Bloomsbury was really good. A bit further from british museum than we thought, but a pleasant walk away. Minimalist decor a bit off putting at first, but a comfortable and very clean hotel with everything you need and really good staff - most obliging at all times.

A customerwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 22/01/12

Overall Hotel Rating:

3 out of 5

Bit disappointed in the hotel after recommendation from superbreak operative, the room wasn't that big . Hotel staff were pleasant but nothing special about it for a 4 star hotel. We were only staying 1 night and the travelodge would have been just as good and much cheaper. Train trip was fine, on time and comfortable. We had to book 1st class to get out of kings cross on sunday which didn't seem right. The da vinci exhibition and the show were excellent.

Hotel was ok but nothing special. Small rooms, tiny walk in shower and a view of a wall about 4mtrs away. Apart from that the hotel was fairly comfy. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic although we had to wait an hour before we ate.

3 Night Stay In London

A customerfrom UKwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 22/08/11

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

Teenage daughter had never been to London so it was an opportunity to see the most obvious tourist sights and a bit of shopping in camden town. We wouldn't bother going to madame tussauds, the london dungeons or the london eye again as quite expensive, very busy and lots of queing; even when tickets were bought in advance. We plan to visit again but we would concentrate on the less commercialised tourist sites ie the museums and galleries. The hotel was ideally located, just a short walk from euston station. The room was well sound proofed so we werent too disturb by the traffic; apart from the regular emergency vehicle sirens that took a bit of getting used to (we are country bumpkins). The bedroom was compact but very clean & comfortable. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. Would return to this hotel again.

The hotel was in a good location, close to kings cross and within easy access to the underground and local bus routes. Although some people may find the room we stayed in a little small, for a weekend two night stay it was very clean, well furnished and comfortable, I would definately stay here again. One place I would recommend visiting is camden town and its various markets, there is plenty for everyone and an experience not to be missed.

Train delays made our timed slot for the Moctezuma exhibition at the British museum a bit of a dash; but it was well worth it. The V & A was the highlight of day 2 with the Islamic art display truly impressive. Falling snow prompted an early return to Euston, where virgin trains did well to keep all informed, and many trains to the north running.

Ambassadors Bloomsbury hotel, great location for Euston & Kings Cross and getting into centre & west end. Decent hotel for special rates we had, room size not as big an issue as reviews I read. Breakfast ok, food not hot enough. Try O'Neils pub near China Town very good value for money. Italian kitchen on new Oxford Circus food ok, but very over priced for what you get. Pizza express near Queens theatre very good.

Travelled to London from Dublin for a 2-night theatre break with my 9 year old daughter. We booked our train tickets, accommodation and theatre tickets with Superbreak.com and I couldn't fault a thing. I will definitely use this company again. Great value for money, really good accommodation, perfect seats for the Lion King in the Lyceum Theatre, front row of the Royal Circle. Clear, concise information before we travelled. All in all a stress free break. Just what we needed.

The Ambassadors Hotel in Bloomsbury is in an excellent location, a mere 10 min walk from Kings Cross Station. The staff were very friendly, polite and welcoming. The room, whilst small, was clean, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, you can help yourself to a good choice of cold buffet items, whilst a full English is freshly cooked for you. We would love to stay at this hotel again.

Hotel was real close to Euston station so easy to get around, However, we had requested quiet room and had one at the front on the roof so next to air conditioning unit so really noisy. Hotel is in perfect location for rail travellers arriving at London Euston. Stylish place to stay, but took advantage of superb special offer made by Superbreak. Hectic 48 hours with plenty crammed in. Timed visit to coincide with Royal Palace's special exhibitions marking the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII's coronation as King of England. British Library's marking of the occasion is a must-visit.

London was brillant as we knew it would be. The Ambassadors was very clean with no real complants except I would not recommend it to anyone staying more than a single night. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights so you can imagine the amount of clothes involved. There was only room for 4 hangers at a push and minimal drawer space. Most of our clothes had to stay in the suit cases until needed. Lovely hotel perfect for an overnight buisness trip but no more.

After managing to get some theatre tickets for West Side Story at short notice, we decided to make a short break of it and book an overnight stay. We decided on the Ambassadors Bloomsbury mainly due to its central location and being based close to the mainline stations, Euston and St Pancras. On arrival, two hours before check in, the staff at AB kindly offered to take care of our luggage and could not be more helpful. The room was superior to many others that I have stayed in at a similar price and the whole place had a clean and fresh contemporary feel to it. All in all a great weekend, would definitely recommend the AB - Thanks again.

I booked a birthday treat for my husband with Superbreak to see Chicago. We stayed at the Ambassadors, Bloomsbury where the staff at reception were helpful and polite. Our room was on the 4th floor at the back of the hotel, so reasonably quiet, the room itself was small but clean and very comfortable. We had brilliant seats for Chicago and enjoyed the show very much. Have used Superbreak in the past and will definately be using them again.

Yes it was, but well worth it. Our hotel was very well situated just across the road from Euston, and was excellent, far better than we had ever hoped for. The staff were very helpful, the hotel was very clean and the food exceptional. We would definitely stay there again. We visited all the exhibitions - Terracotta Army, King Tut, Dali, went on the Eye and the river, saw the ballet - Sylvia, walked for hours around the Natural History Museum and the Tower and ate at some excellent restaurants. Very tiring but well worth it. It is best to get an Oyster Card for travelling around as it saved us a fortune. We are looking forward to going back again.

Overall Hotel Rating:

My partner and myself visited London recently and stayed for 2 nights in the Ambassador Hotel Bloomsbury. This is a really modern hotel situated in a ideal location for getting out and about in the capital. The only fault is the rooms are a little on the small side.We have visited London several times now and absolutely love the place. Blood Brothers and We Will Rock You are absolute must sees if you are planning on seeing a show. Buses are the best way to see the capital and I would advise eveyone to invest in a Visitor Oyster card (available through Superbreak) as it is cheaper to use one of these instead of purchasing daily bus/underground tickets.Blood Brothers - All I can say is FANTASTIC. We've now seen this show 3 times and cried on every occasion. Looking forward to the 4th 5th and even 6th occasion.

using national express our journey was simple and comfortable. the oyster cards worked excellently but we had to top up. London underground after show turnout was horrendous. We much enjoyed the Tutankhamen event and the Sound of Music with Connie Fisher was out of this world. We will certainly use the service again. At the Ambassadors Hotel we did not find the Heating system as quiet as we wished and made complaint.

A Night in London

Overall Hotel Rating:

The hotel room was comfortable, although a little noisy at night, but no more than you would expect in the city. Location was good for underground at Euston Station. Disappointed with breakfast, good selection but the full english was cold. Enjoyed the First Emperor Exhibition but really disappointed with Tutankhamum at the O2.The rapid river transport to the O2 was good value and we all enjoyed the restful cruise to and from the venue. Overall a good weekend in London with excellent weather.

Walked around London a lot visiting places not seen for a long time and visiting many coffee shops. Would have like to try the champagne bar in the new St Pancras station, but too cold in the open air during the weekend we were there.Visited both "Tates". The modern for the "crack in the floor" (quite imptressive) and the Britain for the Turner exhibition (more interesting). Of the two the "Britain" is the more civilised.

Theatre Break in London, With A Bonus.

After a horrendous 2007 in the farming business, we needed a a new year lift. Family bought us two tickets for `Joseph` at the Adelphi. Bloomsbury Ambassador gave us excellent value for a two night break within walking distance of the major sights. Our show was on Saturday afternoon, but most evenings we ended up at Covent Garden where the street entertainers astonished us with their skills. Every day was busy and with no admission charge for the museums it didnt cost a fortune

A Great Visit To London

Travelled from Newcastle and the journey was straightforward and relaxing. Stayed at the Ambassadors in Bloomsbury which was excellent. Although the double room was quite small, it was modern, clean and very comfortable, with a fabulous shower room and plasma screen tv!! Covent garden was a little piece of heaven, with street entertainers, lovely eateries and a feeling of excitement everywhere. Visited the british museum which was spectacular. Didn't get to see the terracotta army as the queues were too long but enjoyed our visit. All in all a fabulous few days. I would definately recommend the Ambassadors in Bloomsbury and Superbreak never fail to impress with their professional manner.

Terracotta Army too crowded and hot. British Museum is brilliant didn't have enough time to see all we wanted. Oyster card saved us a lot of money and time, a good buy.Hotel was o.k. but room was small and not enough hanging space, with no drawers. Complimentary mineral water much appreciated after hot journey.

A Good Weekend

The weekend got of to a bad start as we had booked First Class the train arrived on time but it broke down and we had to change to the next rain which had no first class service the train was noisy and overcrowded, toilets didnt work and were dirty with the amount of people tying to use them altogether an unpleasant journeyThe Hotel was very nice room a bit small but nice except for the view there was no view the room was at the back of the Hotel and the area outside the window was used as a storage area for building materials and scaffolding. There was no daylight at all I was surprised at this with the prices they were charging and to crown it all they said this was an upgraded room. Apart from that the Hotel was well located and easy to get to.Apart from the terrible train journey and the view from the Hotel the weekend went very well and the train journey home was very good.GNER should offer a refund on the outward journey,

Fabulous time! Everything excellent apart from return train journey which took 5+ hours instaed of the 3 it should have taken due to work being carried out on the Virgin line. Instead of sittng comfortably in 1st Class as booked, me and my elderly mother had to sit cramped up with hoardes of excited football fans from Wembley to Birmingham. Journey from Birmingham onwards was excellent

Very Good Weekend In London

We arrived at Liverpool St Station and, rather than buy tube tickets, we each bought an Oyster Card. The purchase was very easy, the journeys less expensive and the exit was easier; also, no queues for tickets or worry about the correct change. After checking in at the soul-less Ambassadors Hotel, we went for a long walk and had lunch at The Captains Table off Haymarket - very good.We were booked for Guys and Dolls in the afternoon and ate at the Loch Fyne restaurant in the evening - very pleasant indeed.

Our London Experience

A customerwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 16/02/07

Overall Hotel Rating:

Smooth arrival and check in at Ambassadors Hotel Bloomsbury appears to have been newly refurnished very contempory excellent surroundings however our twin room was a little short on space - a 4" deep wardrobe is not what I expect from a hotel with this star rating - that asside we were very impressed. Main reason for visit to see Les Miserables for me 5th time for my travelling companion 1st time so her experience is probably more relative to this reveiw - she said of show excellent and four days later she is driving us round the bend humming the tunes so she must have been impressed. The measure of how enjoyable and experience has been is whether you would repeat it and it I was asked that question the answer would be "like a shot" albeit I will make sure my shoes a more comfortabel as I had forgotten how must walking can be done.

Dancing in the Streets - Playhouse Theatre, Northumberland AvenueWhat an excellent show. The cast were all brilliant and sounded just like the real thing. This made up for the nightmare journeys we had getting to and from London and the hotel which was under renovation. (Our room was next to the only lift working and therefore was very noisy.)
