out of 5Edinburgh is very inspiring for artists as there are so many exhibitions within a short area. I love to travel by train up the east coast because of the wonderful views around the northumberland area. Our hotel room was large, but a bit gloomy and the curtains were very dusty. Also the bathroom floor didn't look as clean as it could have been. We have stayed in travelodge all over the country and usually find them very clean and comfortable.

out of 5If you are considering a break in Edinburgh just do it! It was me and my best friend that went and we packed everything possible in and are already looking to head back in january. The travelodge on shandwick place is so easy to find and really central for picking up the tour buses. Decent sized rooms, no sound from the traffic and seriously strong showers! Do the vaults tour at 10pm though as its so good doing the walking tour at night :).

out of 5The travel lodge was extremely basic but was quiet and clean. If you only want a bed for a couple of nights then it is more than adequate. The train ran to time and could not be faulted. Edinburgh is comapct and you can visit all the main attractions on foot, but you do end up tired! we will certianly be returning. All in all an excellent short break.

out of 5Really enjoyed Edinburgh. Lots of interesting things to do, plus fringe festival was on. Very hilly but able to walk everywhere from our hotel. Hotel ok, but beds not very comfortable and only one thin pillow each. Location near to princes street and gallery's.
