Review of the George Hotel

I found the rooms at the George Hotel to be basic (in need of refurbishment). However it was clean, the staff were very friendly and the food was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Easingwold is attractive village close to loads of attractions. Nat Trust and English Heritage properies abound. George Hotel is good, friendly and serves decent real ale.

An Ideal Centre

The George in Easingwold is an ideal place to stay to visit York and surrounding countryside. Use the local buses or drive to use the park and ride for York. We went to Thirsk one evening to the small community cinema, it was great! There is so much to see and do in York, concentrate on one or two areas rather than try to cram everything in.

Interesting Morning in Hartlepool

The Historic Quay was very interesting, well laid out and with two nice cafe's. The highlight was seeing round the Trincomalee the children( ages 10 and 8) thought some of the detail in the tours/films on site were rather cruel and bloodthirsty, but accepted that this reflected the age.
