The overnight stop in Geneva allowed us the opportunity for a brief look at a place neither of us had visited befoe. We were en route to a weeks'walking in Chamonix. The Geneva break added an extra dimension to that holiday. Also it allowed us to take the benefit of a direct flight from Edinburgh with no internal flight in the UK nor any overnight stopover in London.

It was a business trip.I arrived late at the hotel and left early but the staff were great and the room was comfortable if a little dated. Geneva looked very nice.
