out of 5This was a break to remember - four days in Monaco at a first class hotel the" Fairmont". Plenty of attractions including the Palace Cathedral and gardens and great shopping. This was one of the best trips I have ever been on, fantastic value for money.

A customer from UK who stayed at 5* Fairmont Monte Carlo in Monaco wrote this review.
Stay Date: 04/10/11
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Fairmont hotel is wonderful, with a variety of places to dine and drink and just relax. We often had little walks around monaco, especially around monte carlo which suited us ideally for a short break. Staff in restaurants and in shops and little cafes are all very well mannered and professional and it is worth a visit for anyone who values these things.

Nice, Nice, So Good I Named It Twice!
A customer who stayed at 3* Boreal Hotel in Nice wrote this review.
Stay Date: 20/09/11
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Reception staff at the boreal hotel were very friendly, quiet, clean room at rear with view of other buildings 40m away, linen toiletries changed daily, aircon efficient, good choice at continental breakfast, lovely coffee. Location ideal for main shops and 10 min walk to buses and prom des anglais. Tv channels (sport) poor choice, no tea tray and charge for safe rental not so good. Easy 4 euro bus (#98) ride from airport. All bus journeys in nice and environs great value of 1euro eg 1 hour bus ride to monaco. Use the train to travel to cannes. Sufficient attractions - museums, galleries, parks, hill-towns or just strolling the promenade to fill our five days. All down to personal choice. Restaurants expensive for salads/pasta and average wine. Excellent value lidl supermarket on rue dante - two blocks beyond and up from the negresco.
Celebration Break

Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Couldn't have asked for hotel to have been better located as it was literally around the corner from centre of Nice. Transport system is excellent and only 1 euro however drinks and food expensive.

A customer who stayed at 4* Le Meridien Nice in Nice wrote this review.
Stay Date: 24/04/10
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5This was a great trip to an area which I had not visisted before. Nice was an attractive central location and our hotel "Le Meridien" was right on the front very near the tourist office. It was a really high standard for a short cost effective break with a super breakfast. I loved the flowermarket area which came alive at night with a great collection of reasonably proced restaurants especially if you like fish and seafood. Add to this temperatures of 27 degress in April; easy travel from the airport and this was a perfect short break.

A customer from BRIXHAM who stayed at 3* Boreal Hotel in Nice wrote this review.
Stay Date: 22/10/09
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Hotel Boreal where we stayed can be recommened for it's location, very helpful staff, good buffet breakfast and nice clean room. Places to visit are Monaco, Menton, Grasse and Cannes all of which are easily accessible by bus for a standard oneway fare of 1 euro. Can't get better value than that!.

Stay Date: 31/10/08
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Hotel excellent. Very modern, quiet but still very close to Promenade des Anglais. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Very good breakfast. Excellent trams and buses but we preferred to walk everywhere. Got a taxi to and from the airport. Loved everything about Nice. It is stylish and upmarket but also relaxing. People are very tourist-friendly. We would go back there tomorrow!

Trip to Nice
A customer from STOKE-ON-TRENT who stayed at 3* Boreal Hotel in Nice wrote this review.
Stay Date: 28/08/08
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5The hotel Boreal was a good selection for both location and value. The staff were excellent and very helpful and efficient. The room was excellent, clean and very spacious - the only down side was it being on the 3rd floor with no lift but that was explained to me at the time and other rooms were available but the stair climb was worth it. Iwould stay there again.

A customer from Hertfordshire who stayed at 4* Radisson Blu Hotel Nice in Nice wrote this review.
Stay Date: 27/03/08
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5We were blessed with superb weather . As a result we could take advantage of the hotel's fine rooftop pool and Terrasse Restaurant .The general standard of the Radisson SAS hotel both in facilities and staff performance was beyond critcism . We would return !The proximity of NICE to Monte Carlo and Cannes and the position of the hotel on the Promenade Des Anglais , made visits to the centre of Nice , to Monte Carlo and Cannes trouble free .
A Short Break on the French Riviera
A customer who stayed at 3* Boreal Hotel in Nice wrote this review.
Stay Date: 02/11/07
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Although I had been before, I never tire of this area. The train service along the coast is excellent although tickets can be expensive and there are no tourist tickets covering several days. To avoid the queues at Nice Station ticket office get plenty of coins for the machine (some machines take coins only and others cards only).Eze village is a garden of Eden, get the bus outside Eze station up to the village - very cheap ticket.Rothschilds Mansion can be accessed by getting off at Villefrance and following the bay to the other side where you can take a brisk walk up the roads to the Mansion.Monte Carlo - the Casino, Cafe de Paris, The Palace etc all magical.Worth a return trip to visit all the places we didn't make.

A customer who stayed at 5* Fairmont Monte Carlo in Monaco wrote this review.
Stay Date: 28/03/07
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Monte Carlo is a beautiful place populated by the very beautiful who are married to the very rich. My advice to soak up the atmosphere is to find a sunny table outside the Cafe de Paris and sit there having a few drinks and watch the world go by. The prices aren't cheap but the wine is good and so long as you keep your waiter well tipped you can sit there till dusk!

out of 5We did a lot of sitting at the prome looking over the med, we enjoyed looking at all the large boats. We did a lot of sunbathing, the water was lovely and warm, the pebbles were sore on the feet though. The food was better than i expected and the people were really friendly especially when we tried to speak french.
