Fountain Court Apartments - Morrison Reviews (Edinburgh)

We stayed at the Fountain Court Apartments Morrison Street Edinburgh. Requested a quiet room but got one overlooking a busy interchange so a lot of traffic noise. The apartment was fine for our purposes, which was just a comfortable base with easy access to the city centre.

Stayed at the Fountain Court apartments on Morrison Street, which were very pleasant and equipped with washing machine, dishwasher and cooking facilities, sitting room and separate bedroom.The reception is ten minutes? walk away and there is no lift in the building so would be completely unsuitable with someone with impaired mobility, and wouldn?t be ideal if collecting the keys in the rain.The hotel is in walking distance to Edinburgh Castle, is very close to Haymarket station.There?s a Sainsbury?s local fairly close by, and it?s near bus routes.It?s quite close to a few bars so could be a bit noisy later in the evening, though didn?t disturb us.There is no on-site restaurant, but obviously there's many good places to eat in Edinburgh.

I took my girlfriend on a surprise trip to Edinburgh. Neither of us have much money so i was surprised when a deal for return train plus 2 nights in a hotel came to only £250 for both of us.We visited the castle and all main tourist hot spots as well as found out some that only the locals go to. Had such a great time made all the better by the acommodation which was Fountain Court Apartments on Morrison St. Really great little self catering place and friendly staff who were full of knowledge.

We travelled by train on Friday views from Durham were great but carriage was noisy due to two stag parties perhaps travel on thursday used hop on hop off buses two day pass. The Royal Brittania was an excellent attraction.

Good, short break. Saw many sights, although a weekend wasn't long enough to see everything. Self-catering appartments were nice and spacious, although shower had brown stains on the wall. Overall, a nice weekend.
