Forest Row is the gateway to the Ashdown Forest, in the heart of Sussex between London and Brighton. Ashdown Forest is a thriving village with great pubs and an excellent range of outdoor activities including sailing, course fishing and bird watching. Also the village is just minutes away from original Winnie-the-Pooh country.

out of 5Good clean modern hotel on the race course, horse racing during the day in to local town in the evening. Nice day out and over night stay.

out of 5They tried at the hotel to charge us again for our room needed the manager to fix this. The hotel is lovely but most of the staff appeared quite young and inexperienced we realise it is a fairly new hotel and that there could be teething problems we do plan to use the hotel again as it is 5 minutes from our daughters home and we also love the horse racing. My daughter and I enjoyed the spa but were disappointed that not everything was operational but on the whole it was a pleasant stay and the staff were nice.

out of 5We booked this break 2 days before New Years eve and what excellent value. We have a brilliant time and the owner and his son was running the hotel and bar and restaurant. The food was excellent and the hotel is beautiful.

out of 5Very friendly and helpful staff - were greeted right at the entrance, shown to reception, luggage and car were taken care of immediately. Family dinner was exceptionally well organised with extra touches free of charge: flower arrangement on table, private dining room for 24 of us, taking group pictures in beautiful hotel garden ... We all felt very comfortable during the stay - well worth the price.
