Floris Karos Hotel Bruges Reviews (Bruges)

Bruges is a beautiful town. A must for art lovers. Everyone speaks english. Can't remember the names of the restaurants we ate in but all were good. The hotel was ok but probably wouldn't stay there again. Location was very convenient, a few minutes walk from the centre. Tinned fruit salad on offer at generally poor breakfast.

The Floris Karos hotel is perfect for short weekend breaks to the beautiful city of Bruges. It is located no more than 10 minutes walk from the historic city centre. Our room was quite large and spotlessly clean. Perfect for our stay. Breakfast was standard continental europe buffet style - adequate to set yourself up for a day walking around the town. The current euro exchange rate (1.08 euro = £1 sterling) made this an expensive weekend - beer being 5-9 euros for 500ml. However, the strength of belgian beer prevented large volumes consumption so that sort of evened things out!! Walk out beyond the market square towards minnewater to experience the real spirit of this beautiful city. It's like taking a step back 400 years - beautiful!! Chocolate is sold everywhere - I think I probably ate my own body weight over the 3 days we were there.

Great value 3 nights , 2 on Ferry,1 in hotel trip to Bruges. Hotel Karos excellent faclities and great value.Well situated. Bruges pretty but expensive.Geared towards tourists so the best bars are away from the centre.A great way to unwind and wander around the canal and parks. The local market on a saturday away from the tourist area was great fun. The Ferry is relaxing and the journey part of the holiday.

The Hotel Karos was excellently situated with friendly staff, fantastic rooms and a great breakfast selection. Pool was fantastic. Approximately 5 mins walk form the centre of Bruges, all restaurants and bars are easily accessible.Hotel also excellently situated for hopping on the train for an easily affordable day trip. Would happily visit again and stay in the same hotel.

The Hotel was disappointing as the pool was closed for long term maintenance and the bed(s) were 2 single beds on castors pushed together even though we had asked for a double bed.Bruges is an excellent short break destination with excellent sights, many restaurants and cafes for refreshments and friendly locals.
