Greenwich Observatory is up the hill, but for those with mobility problems, there is complimentary transport. We also visited Eltham Palace, an opulent Art Deco house in Eltham. We went to the V&A to see the great Pink Floyd exhibition - a short train journey to Cannon St, followed by the tube to Kensington.Would highly recommend the hotel as a base for exploring Greenwich.   Collapse  Hide

Kinky Boots Theatre Break

Stay Date: 07/08/17, a customer aged 45-64 from Hertfordshire who stayed at 3* President Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

Overall break ok with a few criticisms as follows. Easy to book the whole trip through Super Break including the train journey but having booked the President Hotel I would have thought the cost See More  Read more information of the train ticket would have covered the cost of getting to Russell Square and not just a main line station, this cost me another 12 pounds on the underground for two people. The hotel rooms are nowvery dated and I’m not sure it can be classed as even a 3 star. I’m sorry but the breakfast was way below par, the porridge is made with water and dates awful, no real choice of fruit justgrapefruit, orange and prunes, the cooked breakfast is obviously prepared around 6am for 7am start so anyone turning up at 8.30 will be eating lukewarm bacon etc. and worst of all eggs that have just gonehard. Sorry it's not a very flattering review. Overall the show was fantastic but for 305 pounds for one night I would have expected more from the hotel and travel which cost a further 12 pounds on top.   Collapse  Hide
