A Good Impression

Stay Date: 12/07/07, a customer who stayed at 2* George Hotel in Easingwold (Nr York) wrote this review.

We spent a couple of days at Easingwold with German friends, who were touring the UK. They found the old North Riding an especially beautiful area which, given that they are from the Rhineland, is See More  Read more information great praise. They had been looking forward to seeing York Minster, and in their own words their "anticipation was fulfilled." They were glad, also, to be shown Whitby, which the knew as the site ofthe Synod, the birthplace of Capt. Cook and the landing-place of Dracula. This is, evidently, a part of England hardly known to German visitors. Our friends departed with a regret that they had nothad sufficient time there.   Collapse  Hide

Stay Date: 18/07/07, a customer who stayed at 2* Britannia Savoy Hotel in Blackpool wrote this review.

The hotel was very good, although we had to wait a while to get a table in the reseraunt, then on returning to the table found other guests sitting there. No problems with the booking quick and See More  Read more information efficient. It was pleasure to deal with. Access to the pleasure beach via tram, I'm in a wheelchair, very helpful in mounting and dismounting tram from onboard staff. ***** service!!   Collapse  Hide

What To Do When its Pouring Rain in Blackpool

Stay Date: 25/07/07, a customer who stayed at 2* Norbreck Castle Hotel in Blackpool wrote this review.

The Norbreck Castle hotel is quite far from the main attractions so the tram is a great and inexpensive way to get about, they run regularly and even 14 year old boys love them. Taxi ride will cost See More  Read more information about 7.00 which is reasonable. Visit the Dr Who Exhibition, brings the old memories flooding back, from hiding behind the sofa (I did that) to the new series. There is so much to see that even nonDr Who fans will love it. Seeing Bessy the car and K9 is just fab, and if you are a certain age you will remember most of the baddies. Good amount of exhibits and info to keep you in there for at leastan hour and a half. Great Stuff, even for us girlies. After that go to the Sealife centre just next door, if you took my advice and got the tram then on the back of the ticket is a voucher whichenables one child free with each paying adult. Better still is a child is up to 14. The exhibits are all well manned and staff are well trained to answer your questions. Feeding time at the rays isenjoyable as they seem to know what time it is and dance along the surface of the water while waiting for their grub. If you are there at a non feeding time dont worry just keep hold of your ticketsand you get immediate re-entry to the centre, so fantastic value.   Collapse  Hide
